Citadel poor start in Bolivia works financed by Spain

A citadel of 300,000 poor people of eastern Bolivia, with health problems due to lack of water and wastewater, was now one of the first opening in Latin America works with a grant from the Spanish Cooperation Fund for Water and Sanitation (FCAS).

Morales thanked the Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, aid to Bolivia to solve these problems with projects in several cities and a contribution that will be around $ 140 million.

The director of AECI said that “have been distributed and 1,100 million euros over Latin America,” and that “Bolivia is a country where there are more funds for Spanish cooperation to improve water and sanitation.”
Moza said the 110 million already allocated for water and sanitation Bolivia, Spanish cooperation will add 20 million to more projects to improve the quality of life.
For its part, the ambassador told Efe that the project opened is the most important amount of resources financed by the FCAS in Bolivia and its impact on 300,000 people.
The works will take two years opened today with an initial investment of $ 10 million financed with help from Spain and a contribution of the Inter-American Development Bank.
